[Untitled][edit]

In the Qualification section, the text reads "the top ten clubs, based on overall standings, will qualify for the playoffs." This is not true. Suppose the Western conference teams beat the Eastern conference teams so badly that all of the Western teams have more points at the end of the regular season. The top 7 Western Conference teams would enter the playoffs (4-7 being the wildcards) as would the top 3 Eastern conference teams (who would actually be ranked 10th, 11th and 12th overall, while the bottom two teams in the West would get excluded, despite having more points than the inclusions from the East. I'm removing this line.

I corrected the section describing the playoff pairings. Previously it stated the the Supporters Shield winner would play either the #3 or #4 Wild Card team in the Conference semi-finals. However, if both the #1 and #2 Wild Card teams win during the play in round, then the Supporters Shield winner will play the #2 Wild Card team. I corrected the sections to reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dys Claimer (talkcontribs) 17:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

History of MLS Cup Playoffs?[edit]

MLS Cup Playoffs article need look more like NBA_Playoffs#History, showing how the system change by the years, just do some copypaste, recopilation of the diagrams from every year page--Feroang (talk) 01:19, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wkipedia is not a scoreboard[edit]

There is a general consensus in the WikiProject Football‎ that we should not be treating Wikipedia as a scoreboard. That means waiting until full-time before updating match information. If you want, I can point you to the multiple discussions in the archives or you can just search for scoreboard. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:42, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
