Untitled[edit]

I have reverted several edits by ip editors that have made several bad changes without explanation. Firstly they have been removing the sentence "Other issues in the election included the removal of maternity services from Solihull, preserving green space and the future of Jaguar Land Rover." which is based on the Birmingham Mail article 'New party vying for solihull seats' from the 19 April 2010 and I have no idea why they want to remove this.

Secondly they are trying to include the candidate Neil Watts in the totals for the Solihull and Meridan Residents Association (SAMRA). Both Solihull Council here and Solihull News here have him standing as an independent, not for SAMRA. While the SAMRA website has him as a candidate for them and I have added a note to the article to this effect below the table, having him included in the totals is wrong as all secondary independent sources describe him as independent and it seems POV to include him in the SAMRA totals when independent sources do not.

Thirdly the ips are adding a link to SAMRA as an external link at the bottom of the article. We should not have external links to political parties from election articles and it is not an appropriate external link - see Wikipedia:External links. Davewild (talk) 20:56, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
