How do I delete vandalism? At the bottom of Paragraph one is a sentence which needs to be removed.

I'd just delete it outright. Click on the edit link, delete "this is believed to be the greatest event in history.", then click "save page". In fact I'll do it for you.

Why is this happening?[edit]

While this article does tell us what is happening, it makes no mention of why. Why did the Whatsit League decide to boycott the elections? Why are people protesting? --WikiMarshall 19:50, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Main reason is the Awami League (AL) and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) simply loathe each other. BNP was in power until 2006, and AL claims that the election that was supposed to be held on Jan 22 is going to be rigged. I hope the edits I made in the article gave some more information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Eendrani (talkcontribs) 20:24, 12 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Should we change the title of the article to "2006-2007 Bangladesh Coup."[edit]

Or something similar.

Expand Lead and article[edit]

There are big gaps in the article, and more facts need to be in here to cover the 2007 through 2008 period. What was going on? The government filed corruption charges against leaders of both parties and also charged Khaleda Zia with murder for deaths in political protests. Not much was in the article following the military intervention, and even then, facts were left out. Who chose the Chief Advisor? What were other issues they were dealing with? It is not useful simply to repeat the political accusations of party leaders as reported by the newspapers: Awami League says this, BNP says that - without any followup. Their "accusations" seem to be mostly political posturing - but who initiated the protests, how did people die? Did other protesters kill them or police? When it's such a volatile situation, outside sources should be used in addition to local ones. What were the "mass changes to the administration" the AL was asking for, prior to the election? Firings, removal of personnel, change in leadership? Very hard to understand. The Awami League accused the whole judiciary of being biased toward the BNP, but two years later, Mahmudur Rahman, editor of the daily Amar Desh, accused the BD Supreme Court of being biased a tool of the AL. Looks like posturing on both sides, and it should not all be reported here, as this is not a newspaper.Parkwells (talk) 13:36, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

War crimes trials - when added?[edit]

When did the Awami League start promising prosecution of war crimes? That seemed to be a big deal after the 2008 elections, with the establishment of the International Crimes Tribunal, but it is not noted here at all. Neither is it mentioned at all in Sheikh Hasina's article. When did it become part of the campaign?Parkwells (talk) 17:19, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
