Correcting and adding dates?[edit]

This type of page doesn't seem to require citations--and thus, I've seen some wrong dates.

I want to add some new notable, Grammy-winning albums to the list, but the date worry makes me unsure if I should simply trust the date currently listed on an album's Wikipedia page, or if I should go to some standard source to prove it (even though citations aren't required here, as I mentioned).
