Churchill's V for Victory sign[edit]

Churchill's V for Victory signn photo was taken of Churchill on his return from the Third Washington Conference (TRIDENT) Washington, D.C. in May 1943 -- not in 1940. I was prompted to research the date as I remember reading that he took to the hand gesture V sign later in the war not early on. Quoting from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_sign Section 2.1 "in July 1941, Churchill referred approvingly to the V for Victory campaign in a speech, from which point he started using the V hand sign. Early on he sometimes gestured palm in (sometimes with a cigar between the fingers). Later in the war, he used palm out."
