Requesting a Name Change for this Article[edit]

This historical figure is mentioned by slanderous religious slurs of her enemies in the title of the article, and also formerly within the article itself. Normally even in the case of negative people in history, they are still referred to by their real names while the fact that bitter and derogatory names for them was used is kept as trivia or a sentence in the article. Articles are supposed to be unbiased and impartial, and this has been the case for even many negative cases in history on Wikipedia.

In this case however the historical figure was mentioned by a slanderous and offensive religious slur most of the time instead of her real name, let alone the fact she is a very positive figure for people in her region and many people in Japan. It is disrespectful and offensive to mention a person by a religious slur completely irrelevant to her real name and character which was made by her enemies, instead of using the real name to refer to the person. It is also disrespectful to people of Japan who think of her dearly, as we feel one of our historical figures is being directly slandered. The fact that the enemies used the religious slur against her is still explained in the page so nothing of substance is lost when she is referred to by her real name, as she should be referred to.

My account is new so I was not allowed to change the name on my own, but I ask that the name of this article be changed to her real name and that the article remain unbiased and impartial. History Enthusiast 1 (talk) 06:41, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
