Tafarki Agbadu Eneme (born January 10, 1961)[citation needed] is a Nigerian politician and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party. He is the Member, State House of Assembly Representing Kurmi Constituency,[1][2] Chief Whip of Taraba State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Environment, Urban Development and Forestry Potentials.[3]

Early life and education[edit]

Tafarki Agbadu Eneme was born into the royal family of Agbadu Wajigba Adamah Nkafwen of Eneme village in Kurmi Local Government Area, Taraba State. He is a native of Eneme, Kurmi LGA, Taraba State. He attended the former Local Education Authority (LEA) Primary School Ndaforo from 1969 to 1975, proceeded to Ganye (1975–1980) for his GCE and then moved to School of Basic Studies (SBS/ABU  Zaria) in 1980 to 1981, where he obtained his IJMB Certificate and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) in 1983 to 1988 for his DVM Degree, University of Maiduguri from 1998 to 2001 where he obtained his M.Sc. and is presently studying at University of Nigeria NSUKKA for his Ph.D. course.[4]

He went to University of Maiduguri in 1997 to 2001, where he obtained his master's degree. He started a PhD program at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2011 to 2014 but couldn't complete it with reason of being appointed as Commissioner for Health[5] by the former Acting-Governor of Taraba State, Alh. Sani Abubakar.[6]

Political career[edit]

He served as Commissioner for Health from 2014 to 2015 and was reappointed Hon Commissioner for Works and transport in 2015 to 2019[7][8] and contested for member Taraba State House of Assembly to represent Kurmi in 2019 State Election and won.[9]

At the state house of assembly,[10] he was appointed Chairman House Committee on Internally Generated Revenue and vice chairman House Committee on Public Accounts. Agbadu in 2023 was again called by the people of Kurmi to re-contest the seat of the Member representing Kurmi which he won.[11]

He is the current Chief Whip of Taraba State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Environment, Urban Development and Forestry Potentials, Taraba State.[12]

Personal life[edit]

Eneme was born on 10 January 1961 and hails from Kurmi Local Government Area. He is married with four children.[13]
