Sanjay Salil

Sanjay Salil is a well-known media entrepreneur currently holding the position of Managing Director at MediaGuru. He gave up his successful broadcasting career for entrepreneurship. He launched MediaGuru Consultants Pvt Ltd, about 2 decades ago and in a short span of time turned it into one of the top most Global Media Services company. Sanjay has overseen the launch of broadcasting stations and media ventures across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He has consulted world’s leading broadcasters and media companies on technology, content, monetization, and business strategy.  

In 2023 Sanjay co-founded the AI and Quantum company, IntellAI, with leading AI & Quantum scientists. His co-founder at IntellAI is Utpal Chakravarti.  IntellAI has collaborated with a very reputed Indian University to expedite research work to create proof of concept in Quantum Technology.

Early Life[edit]

Sanjay was born in a small village in Jehanabad district in Bihar. He finished his schooling as well as his graduation from Nalanda, Bihar. He did his B.A. in journalism from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University where he was the student of first batch 1991-1992.

Career[edit]

Prior to 2003 Salil worked with Amar Ujala and TV Today as an executive producer. He was also part of the founding team of Aaj Tak, India's first 24x7 news channel. He was later appointed as a CEO for Falak TV, India's first Urdu channel.[1]

In 2003 Salil founded the media service company MediaGuru, which would go on to launch multiple television channels including Malayala Manorama (MMTV), CSB News, and TVC News. Under his leadership the company has expanded to more than 50 projects across 16 countries, receiving accolades and awards for their digitization practice.[2][3]
