McGee was an influential figure in developing the accounting laws in Armenia and Bosnia, having been responsible for drafting the accounting laws in both countries.[citation needed] He also helped both countries convert to international standards.[citation needed] Additionally, he helped review Mozambique's accounting laws.[citation needed]

McGee currently teaches at the Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University.[10] He has written more than 60 nonfiction books, 5 novels, and over 1000 scholarly papers.[10] McGee initially began writing mainly technical articles and books.[18] Starting in the 90's, he shifted his published work towards ethical issues.[citation needed]

McGee practiced martial arts as a teenager.[18] He worked as a boxing sparring partner[2] However, as an adult, McGee began practicing Taekwondo again.[19] He also began practicing Karate and Tai Chi. He is now a martial arts instructor.

He has won world championships in Taekwondo, karate, kung fu and tai chi, as well as medals in national (USA) championships.[citation needed] In 2017, he was inducted at the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.[10][20]
