Next steps for Freedom of speech portal

  1. Portal:Freedom of speech/Selected quote = do some more research, add some more quotes here up to one-hundred (100).
  2. Portal:Freedom of speech/Selected anniversaries = flesh this out and add some more dates for later intervening ten (10) months.
  3. After above is done, do another look-through, and then submit for portal peer review.

Sister project page

On a related note, vast improvements were recently made to page q:Freedom of speech, over at Wikiquote. :) Cheers, — Cirt (talk) 22:47, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

Necessary move?

I noticed that this page has been moved from its previous location at Portal:Freedom of speech, that there had been no prior discussion of such a move, and that the move was conducted by an editor whose talk page consists almost entirely of warnings and CSD notifications. Did this move represent a consensus? — further, Francophonie&Androphilie sayeth naught (Je vous invite à me parler) 18:06, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

NO it most certainly did not. I've reported this to WP:AN. I hope it can be moved back soon by an admin. :( .... — Cirt (talk) 18:07, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Update: Fixed by John of Reading (talk · contribs), thankfully. :) — Cirt (talk) 18:18, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Well, at this point, maybe after finished with Portal:Technology. — Cirt (talk) 05:41, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Portal peer review

This portal had a peer review which was given notice to various talk pages and open for one month and then archived, see Wikipedia:Portal peer review/Freedom of speech/archive1. — Cirt (talk) 04:33, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Notification of a TFA nomination

In the past, there have been requests that discussions about potentially controversial TFAs are brought to the attention of more than just those who have WP:TFAR on their watchlist. With that in mind: Fuck: Word Taboo and Protecting Our First Amendment Liberties has been nominated for an appearance as Today's Featured Article. If you have any views, please comment at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests. — Cirt (talk) 02:49, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

Help needed on Internet censorship and surveillance by country article

Some of the main sources summarized in the Internet censorship and surveillance by country article are no longer being updated. A discussion on the article's talk page has been started to develop a plan for how to deal with this on into the future. I would encourage anyone with an interest to join the discussion. --Jeff Ogden (W163) (talk) 14:43, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:30, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
