Numenius of Heraclea
Numenius of Heraclea (Ancient Greek: Νουμένιος ὁ Ἡερακλέωτης, Nouménios ho Hērakléōtēs) is ancient Greek physician and poet, dated to the end of the 4th century BC.[1] According to Athenaeus,[2] he was a pupil of the physician Dieuches.

Numenius wrote didactic poems on a range of topics, including:[1]
- Ἁλιευτικόν/Halieutikón, "On Fishing"[3]
- Θηριακόν/Thēriakón, "On theriac"[3]
- a work on medicinal prescriptions[3][1]
- Δείπνων ἀναγραφαί/Deípnōn anagraphaí, "Records of Banquets"[3]
