Northeast India International Travel Mart

On 19 January 2013, Hon'ble Union Tourism Minister Shri K Chiranjeevi inaugurated the first NEITM at Guwahati.

Northeast India International Travel Mart (NEITM or ITM)[1][2] is a tourism event to showcase the Northeastern region of India, which is popularly known as the North East. This event is organised by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of India in association with hosting State Governments and other states in the region. The regional states are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal.[3] One of the nine states hosts the event annually.

ITM had taken the first step at Haru Hojai Stadium, Guwahati, in January 2013, and thereafter, three states hosted the event. This year, Assam hosts, for the second time, the three-day event at the Taj Vivanta Hotel, Guwahati, from 5 to 7 December 2017. The most recent ITM was hosted by Tripura for the first time at Agartala from 22 to 24 November 2018.

After the main event, each states organise Fam Tours & Cultural Evenings for guests.[3]
