Please replace the contents of the page with the following:

- The PLURAL magic word is evaluated before the character limit hits, so it doesn't really matter. By the way, it looks like you copied and pasted from the other request, so that uses the wrong parameters. Jackmcbarn (talk) 21:05, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- Even shorter since this is "short", although I'm not sure why this would be used as opposed to the other or why there are two diff messages. Are you "sure" that the PLURAL is substituted in? Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit protected}}template. When requesting a change to a MediaWiki page, it's always a good idea to give a link to a discussion where that change was agreed. I suspect that the discussion concerned is Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 124#Difference between revisions pages comment truncation; but I don't see a clear agreement there. --Redrose64 (talk) 22:37, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
