I like it! bd2412 T 05:15, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Me too! Is this another gift from Aver's Box-O'-Treasures? JesseW, the juggling janitor 07:47, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

Is this supposed to do something? All I get is a second link to my talk page -- no diffs. --Carnildo 05:00, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • I get a diff - that's why I changed it to diff... don't know what others see. bd2412 T 13:28, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • Sometimes for me it shows up as ($2) (HTML code "<strong>You have <a href="/wiki/User_talk:Carnildo" title="User talk:Carnildo">new messages</a> ($2).</strong>"), while most of the time it shows up as (diff) (HTML code "<strong>You have <a href="/wiki/User_talk:Carnildo" title="User talk:Carnildo">new messages</a> (<a href="/wiki/User_talk:Carnildo" title="User talk:Carnildo">diff</a>).</strong>"). --Carnildo 23:27, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
      • Ah, that sounds to me like a developer issue! bd2412 T 23:29, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I like the feature, but the way it's implemented is a little bit silly. MediaWiki should simply provide the user name to MediaWiki:Newmessages as $1, which could easily construct its own links. dbenbenn | talk 16:37, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to be a bit bold and change the text to "changes". It's not very newbie-friendly to see "(diff)" when they don't know what it is. Dysprosia 04:13, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i prefer "last change" (since afterall, it doesn't show changes in the plural, if you've got lots of new additions, it only shows the last one). I've been bold and changed... UkPaolo/talk 13:36, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
