Wording[edit]

Ajax is not considered "advanced" by today's standards. Please change the sentences Note that this requires advanced [[:en:JavaScript|JavaScript]] functionality known as [[:en:Ajax (programming)|Ajax]]. If you have a very old browser, or have JavaScript disabled, it will not work. to If you have JavaScript disabled, this will not work. (Although to be honest I am not sure if it is even worth having that; practically no-one browses with JavaScript disabled these days.) — This, that and the other (talk) 11:21, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can I just delete those two sentences? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:26, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Done Made the requested change for now anyway — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:28, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@MSGJ: The default message still mentions JavaScript: "Enter a category name to see its contents as a tree structure. (Requires JavaScript.)". Although somewhat anachronistic, it's not completely unreasonable, since MediaWiki is generally expected to work without JavaScript enabled. — This, that and the other (talk) 10:29, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
