Mai Whelan is an immigration adjudicator for the Department of Homeland Security and the winner of the inaugural season of Squid Game: The Challenge.[1][2][3] She received the grand prize of USD $4.56 million.[4][2][5]

She is an immigration adjudicator for the Department of Homeland Security.[2][6] She was born in Vietnam and later moved to the United States after the Fall of Saigon in 1975 at the age of 8.[4][6][7]
