This is a list of college athletics programs in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
NCAA[edit]
Division I[edit]
- ^ Presbyterian's football team competes in the Pioneer Football League.
- ^ South Carolina's men's soccer team competes in the Sun Belt.[1]
- ^ South Carolina State's women's soccer team competes as an independent.
Division II[edit]
- ^ As of the 2023–24 academic year, Allen is in the third year of a three-year transition to Division II and will become an active member in 2024–25.

- ^ Anderson announced the addition of a football team, to begin play in 2024–25.
- ^ Claflin's baseball team competes in the Peach Belt Conference.
- ^ Erskine's football team competes in the South Atlantic Conference. It will transition to Gulf South Conference in 2024, before moving to Conference Carolinas in 2025.
