Jeremy Miner

Jeremy Lee Miner (born March 1, 1977) is an international sales trainer, speaker and founder of 7th Level formerly known as 7 Level Communications (2016). He was taught by Michael Oliver, creator of Natural Selling, where much of his sales methodology, NEPQ, is based off of.

Career[edit]

Miner was raised in Osceola, Missouri and graduated High School at Osceola High in 1995.

Jeremy was Regional Sales Manager and the top salesperson at Vivint, a supplier of home security services. He expanded the sales force, developed the sales training materials, and increased the annual revenue to $10,000 in two years. At Pinnacle Security almost 20 years ago, Jeremy started his sales career selling home security products door-to-door. Jeremy had his initial epiphany about conventional sales approaches and subsequently adapted his methods. His new sales methods earned him $5,500 during a summer break from college and the Vice President of Sales. Jeremy studied behavioral and organizational science at Utah Valley University, which was to play a foundational role in the career-long development of his Neuro-Emotional Persuasion Questioning sales methodology.[1]

Jeremy Miner began his career in June 2001 at Pinnacle Security as a sale associate for home security systems. He was later promoted and started managing the salesforce. Miner was influential in launching Pinnacle Inc. to one of the 500 fastest growing companies in 2002 and 2003. In 2016 he launched 7th Level an international sales training organization. In 2022, 7 Level Communications was awarded and recognized as one of the "Companies Winning in a Time of Change--And Achieving Spectacular Growth" by Inc. Inc ranked 7 Level, 391 out of the top 5000 businesses. Inc. ranked the top 5000 according to percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021.[2]

Published by Inc. Publications "Jeremy Miner is the Chairman of 7th Level, a Global Sales Training company that was ranked #391 of the fastest-growing companies in the United States by INC magazine’s list of the top 5000 companies in 2022. He is also a contributor for INC magazine and has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, Entrepreneur magazine, the Wall Street Journal and a host of other publications. During his 17-year sales career, Jeremy was recognized by the Direct Selling Association as the 45th highest earning producer, out of more than 100 million salespeople - selling anything, worldwide! His earnings as a commission-only salesperson was in the multiple 7-figures, every year. Jeremy is the host of the podcast, Closers are Losers, and his new book, The New Model of Selling - Selling to an Unsellable Generation - [3] co-authored with Jerry Acuff–CEO of Delta Point Consulting, published in the Fall of 2022.Jeremy Miner created the Neuro-Emotional Persuasion Questioning or NEPQ methodology, which is the model of selling that focuses on gaining the trust of your buyer and solidifying your authority."[4]

In an interview with Big Time Daily Jeremy was asked to help define NEPQ and he responded "“I knew I wanted to succeed in sales. To do so, I knew I needed to take a giant leap outside my comfort zone. Following the status quo wasn’t going to work,” Miner said. “So, rather than just listening to the methods I had been taught, I decided I’d go in search of another sales training program with the behavioral science elements of sales. I searched… invested in many training courses… attended many events… and read many books. But none of them had the questions that I needed to ask to get my prospects to persuade themselves in a step by step sequence rooted in human psychology.” So… he created it himself. “You may think that would’ve been easy, since I was studying behavioral science in school. Far from it! But as I continued my trial and error process, I eventually got to a place where I mastered the series of questions that I now call ‘Neuro-Emotional Persuasion Questions’ (more on these soon). And, the year I finally felt I had mastered it, I ended up making $2,370,485 dollars that year in straight commission as a W-2 sales rep."

In February of 2023, according to Wall Street Journal "The New Model of Selling" became a best selling book in the category of sales, communication and marketing.[5]
