Hypergalactic is an upcoming Japanese-American computer animated adventure film directed and co-written by David N. Weiss. It stars Adam DeVine, Elsie Fisher, J. K. Simmons, and Sam Richardson. It was produced by Toei Animation.

Premise[edit]

A teenage girl (Fisher) alongside her younger brother in a not-so-distant future adventure, after liberating the protector of Earth Okhan (DeVine), hope that he can reunite them with their missing parents.

Production[edit]

In February 2024, Toei Animation announced that a CG animated adventure film titled Hypergalactic was in collaboration with David N. Weiss, Naoto Ohshima, and Joseph Chou. The studio are calling the film their biggest CGI project to date. Weiss was hired to direct the film, alongside co-writing the screenplay with Oshima and Chou. Adam DeVine, Elsie Fisher, J. K. Simmons, and Sam Richardson joined the voice cast, with Devine voicing the protector of Earth Okhan. Kozo Morishita, Katsuhiro Takagi, and Tim Kwok serve as executive producers.[1]

Post-production had begun by February.[2]
