Notability[edit]

I'm sorry, but this storm really isn't notable right now. Even if it was the first 29th named storm, it doesn't deserve an article for that. We have deleted 2005 storms that were the first nth storm for the same reason. Only the ones that were notable in their own right for impact were allowed to stay. I oppose creating an article for this. NoahTalk 12:15, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hurricane Noah: I see where your going, but we're gonna have to wait. Even if it is a tropical storm, it could still cause some bad impacts in the islands where it is headed to, and the islands are also quite populated. I like hurricanes 18:00, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hurricane Noah: This is a historic storm that has never formed in recorded history. I get the argument on "If it doesn't affect any land areas it doesn't deserve an article" but this is one of the rarest storms you could ever see in an Atlantic hurricane season. I support an article. Cyclonetracker (talk) 02:20, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How is a subtropical storm that transitioned to a 60 knot tropical storm one of the rarest storms? This is the same story that has happened numerous times before. Just because a season record got broken doesn't mean this deserves an article. NoahTalk 02:30, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hurricane Noah: Look, I'm not here to argue but this is The 29th named storm of the season. If we somehow manage to reach Theta again I might oppose an article. But for now, Theta is a name that has never been used before and will likely not be used again for some time. In my opinion, it is a notable storm and I support an article Cyclonetracker (talk) 02:48, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The storm is already being covered in the season article. There really is no point expanding it beyond that due to lack of notability. NoahTalk 02:57, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hurricane Noah: Ok, I agree and will no longer work on this article. I will wait for any impacts. Cyclonetracker (talk) 03:05, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
