NPOV tag[edit]

Per Special:Diff/1213155824/1213178844. The entire article needs to be redirected, it's hopelessly tainted with subtle and overt biases in almost every sentence. I'm adding this tag not in support of keeping the article, but as a temporary warning for readers. I've also restored the Connected Contributor above per the principal of WP:DUCK, it's really very obvious to many editors it is the same person as the other socks, that were blocked in the former SPI. -- GreenC 14:38, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This article does not currently meet mainspace standards because of its bias in favour of Lemelson. This stems from the influence of an editor with a conflict of interest who has written virtually all the content. See GreenC's comment above and Talk:Emmanuel Lemelson for further evidence.
At least four editors in good standing have expressed concerns about the validity of this article. However it does have references that indicate that it might be a sufficiently notable topic.
I think the appropriate action to resolve this problem will be to move it to draft space where it can be worked on to enhance its objectivity by balancing perspectives, while also assessing if it should maintain its separate status or be merged into its parent Emmanuel Lemelson.  —Smalljim  23:43, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good plan. If DownEastLaw want's to work in draft space, and can build an authentically neutral and unbiased article, we will be in a better position to judge notability. Currently it reads like a lawyer making a defense for their client, or Lemelson defending himself. I started working on the opening paragraph, but it would have required a complete rewrite, and it goes on like that for the entire piece. It does not meet Wikipedia standards and would never have made it through WP:AFC had it gone that route, as it should have due to previous SPIs and COI concerns. -- GreenC 00:42, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Draftified[edit]

To ensure that I didn't accidentally use any admin powers I have used my non-admin account User:Smallerjim to move this article to draft space for the reasons above. User:DownEastLaw or anyone else can work on it here to improve it to a state suitable for mainspace. Note that per WP:COIEDIT (bullet 4), DownEastLaw may not move the page back to mainspace without going through the WP:AfC process.  —Smalljim  23:41, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In view of previous behaviour, I'll just add "or any obvious sockpuppets" to that requirement to go via AfC.  —Smalljim  00:23, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
