COI Disclosure Statement[edit]

I know Raina Kumra (the subject of this draft) personally, and am aware I have a conflict of interest because of that connection with her. I am using the Articles for Creation queue here as part of my effort to follow the rules for “COI” editors on Wikipedia, and I appreciate your understanding if I make any “rookie errors” in submitting this. Thank you! Roadwayside (talk) 18:48, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking clarification on Notability[edit]

@Jamiebuba: and @QuantumRealm:: This submission was declined because it was said not to show significant coverage about the subject, Raina Kumra, in multiple reliable sources. It may be unclear because Kumra’s name doesn’t appear in the titles, but three of the cited sources are in-depth profiles of Kumra in prominent sources: This feature in Inc. magazine; this article in the The Sydney Morning Herald; and this profile in Men's Journal of Kumra and a company she founded. She was also among the entrepreneurs profiled in this feature in Fast Company. Kumra also received significant coverage in this article in Wired magazine and this article in The Economic Times. Based on this press coverage, it would seem that Kumra meets the basic Notability guidelines which state: People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other and independent of the subject. Could you please clarify why this was declined on the ground that she failed to meet the Notability criteria? I’d like to resubmit the draft and it would be helpful to know what more is needed. Thanks so much for your time. Roadwayside (talk) 07:31, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
