Proposed deletion discussion[edit]

@Onel5969: @Hemmers: Thank you all for editing and suggesting improvements to the page. I was notified of the proposed deletion by fellow Hemmers (talk · contribs). I am suggesting moving the page to the Draftspace for now. My reasoning is that, given that the book had already generated one book review in an academic journal (Lacombe), chances are that within the coming months there might be another review coming in, we never know, given the subject of the book which should interest American researchers.VerifyAnotherFact (talk) 15:52, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@VerifyAnotherFact Moving to Draftspace is a good call. It's a well composed article, but the book - whilst having the potential to be an important work - probably hasn't reached that notability yet. Be particularly careful with the summary section and lines such as "Filindra methodically weaves through history, organizational history, and contemporary mass political behavior, giving a thorough account of the NRA's role in preserving this ideological tradition." As editors we can't make judgments that it is methodical or thorough (which could be considered an endorsement and breaks WP:NPOV). It reads a bit like a blurb or ad-copy, which of course would fall foul of advertising policy. This is one of the reasons it needs more independent reviews (which may come in time), so that we can quote comments like that from an independent third party. Thank you @Hemmers:. Moved to Draftspace and I appreciate your constructive criticism and will take your notes on the copy into consideration when I'll republish.VerifyAnotherFact (talk) 23:25, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
