Hi @S0091, can you please explain the denial more? The citations include People Magazine, two articles from the New York Times, Philantrophy.com (major publication covering Philantrophy), Stanford Law, etc. These aren't tabloids. @Corporationstation sure! All the articles are largely based on what she says which is considered primary (direct quotes or attributed to her like "she claims", "according to Shanahan", etc). She was married for five years and has a child with Sergey Brin, who is currently ranked on Forbes as the 7th wealthiest in the US. All former spouses of similarly wealth individuals like Brin have their own Wikipedia pages (let me know if you need examples).
In 2021, she was ranked #6 by Philanthropy.com, the leading coverage in Philanthropy, in ALL American donors. Per their records, she donated $816 million dollars that year to charities. Here's the link, which is included in the citations and you'll note it has her name and photo: https://www.philanthropy.com/article/the-philanthropy-50/?sra=true#id=browse_2021. Philanthropy.com isn't reporting that based on what she's saying, that's verified. These billionaires are some of the most notable and influential people in the whole world.
More recently, and how I heard about her, was the super bowl ad for RFK Jr., which received very significant media coverage. It was controversial and she reportedly paid and helped select it. Every major media outlet covered it. Here are some examples which all have her name in the headline:

Being in things like "top of" lists, unless it is something like Time's person of the year, do not confer notability nor does being associated with other notable people (see WP:NOTINHERITED). The Daily Beast is a sentence about her, the rest is a quote then refers the reader to the NYT article. NY Post is deprecated source so cannot be used (see WP:NYPOST). Like the Daily Beast, Business Insider is three sentences about her with one attributed the NYT; the rest is her statements. The Buck Institute is a a press release which is fine to use for verifiability but not helpful for notability. The NYT piece is largely an interview ("In an interview on Monday, Ms. Shanahan said...") but there's probably enough intellectually independent coverage to count for notability.
As for other articles, see WP:OTHERSTUFF. The existence of one article does not mean another should exist. It could be an article about Shanahan is WP:TOOSOON, meaning sources may not exist right now that meet the criteria but may in the future. S0091 (talk) 22:03, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Corporationstation you are welcome to continue to work it. Drafts are deleted after six months based on the last human edit but even it does get deleted, anyone can ask for it to be restored (WP:REFUND). The best advice I have is to stick to sources that have little or no input by her and have no affiliation with her. Press releases/announcements are considered primary sources which are fine to use for verifiability but not helpful for notability. If you (or anyone) believes there's enough notability qualifying sources down the road, feel free to request the ability to resubmit it at the WP:AFC Help Desk and point to this discussion. @Corporationstation no, I can't delete it but you can request it be deleted by placing {{db-author}} at the top of the draft or you can redirect it to the main article to maintain the history.
