Hey @Raydann! This article is specifically made to reduce the length of the Mining#History section, with the intent of moving that information to this page. I suppose I agree that draft articles should have so much new content that they could be an article with just the new content, so I will keep adding new content (Not everything in this first submission was copied, I wrote some new things), however my History of magic draft went live before I had even submitted it and it was all just copied text, so I wasn't sure what the rules were, for all I knew this page also needed to go live asap once it was feasible that way editors could feel they could add to it without making the Mining article too bloated, so I submitted it. I've resubmitted it because the entire point of the "History of..." articles I created was to add them to the Vitals list. Now the History category in Vitals is at 3299/3300; if I were to add only one out of the ten articles I created to the History category, it would be this one. @Robert McClenon please see the discussion on the article purpose above. I will not be making a "split" request because anyone could come in here and say "oppose!!" just because they feel there isn't enough here to justify a new article, but that misses the entire point of this completely. Yes, ideally I would've added enough content to this to 100% justify a new article, and I still can and will. I only submitted this for the second time because I feel the publishing of this article needs to be expedited because of the Vitals lists. (I added "Gold rush" as vital but it was obvious it was supposed to be listed underneath "History of mining" on the Vitals lists.) LightProof1995 (talk) 16:41, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
