Evgeny Nechkasov Draft[edit]

Hello,

The draft of this was declined due to integrity reasons, likely in connection with the declared conflict of interest. I wish to clarify that this conflict of interest is in fact that I am an editor of the publishing house which has published Evgeny Nechkasov's work in English. The article's information was clearly linked to the relevant publications and information provided by the publishing house, including on its public website, among other sources. If the publishing house and its online and print publications, i.e., the attestations of the author in the English-language world, are not sufficient grounds for citation, then what other kinds of citations would be required for successful revision? Thank you in advance for clarification and guidance. Bookeditor2024 (talk) 10:14, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see English Wikipedia's policy guidance on primary, secondary and tertiary sources, which states:

Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published secondary sources, and to a lesser extent, on tertiary sources and primary sources. Secondary or tertiary sources are needed to establish the topic's notability and avoid novel interpretations of primary sources. All analyses and interpretive or synthetic claims about primary sources must be referenced to a secondary or tertiary source and must not be an original analysis of the primary-source material by Wikipedia editors.

You wrote that information was clearly linked to the relevant publications and information provided by the publishing house, including on its public website. These are primary sources. We need secondary & tertiary references from reliable sources. These would be independent sources writing about Nechkasov & his writings.
You can see my contributions to the draft in the revision history. I think you can take my comments here as friendly advice. Also, I would advise consulting the enwiki behavioral guideline on conflict of interest. Peaceray (talk) 18:50, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
