Discussion[edit]

The topic is notable and the author should be thanks for contributing high level insight and expertise. This family of materials is apparently of wide interest and topical. The main issues for Wikipedia-Chem are the following:

1. What is aluminium diethyl phosphinate???? We are an encyclopedia and we want to describe the material far more than some application. Materials are immortal, applications come and go.
2. Remove the newsy info. See WP:NOTNEWS. We dont really care who is building a factory, unless there is some deeper historical interest (first nylon production, first acetic acid plant etc)
3. Better references such as

Infobox[edit]

The information in the table should be moved into an infobox. See Template:Chembox for information on this. As Smokefoot says, we are more interested in the substance from a scientific perspective than a product-based one. LukeSurl t c 00:47, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done Moved to an infobox. APerson (talk!) 18:43, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Flame retardant[edit]

This chemical is mentioned specifically in Flame retardant, adding to its notability. --A. (AfC) (R) 03:48, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, User:A480641, it is mentioned in flame retardant, but it's not mentioned in either of the references right after it. Given the scant coverage in reliable sources I am leaning toward declining this submission (or supporting someone who does so, obviously). Jinkinson talk to me 22:49, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
