Comments on the draft[edit]

Title currently redirects to Main belt comet. AAs include MBCs, but not vice versa, so separate articles are warranted. Next step: add more references, of course. Next next step: include MBCs, as well as the distinction.64.134.100.69 (talk) 00:59, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

AfC comments[edit]

This appears to be a spinout of a topic already covered at Main-belt comet. Please seek other editors agreement at Talk:Main-belt_comet#Spinout_of_active_asteroid. Be sure that no content forking will occur. SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:52, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell, these are synonyms, with the only difference between them being that some researchers use one term, and some researchers use the other. I can't see any justification for having two articles under the two different names. -- RoySmith (talk) 22:15, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since these two concepts largely overlap, only one article is needed. Robert McClenon (talk) 14:05, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(The AfC practice of commenting about the draft on the draft page, as opposed to on the draft_talk page, is inconsistent with talk page practices. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:24, 13 October 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Redirecting[edit]

I am going to boldly redirect this to Main-belt comet, and any additional information can be added to that article. If this redirection is reverted, presumably by unregistered editors, semi-protection may be appropriate. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:48, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
