Vertigo are a British Hardcore Punk/Grunge band formed in Leeds 2020 by lead vocalist and guitarist Louis Tammaro, with drummer Tobias Gupit-Wils, bassist Ewan Brown and rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Lukas Chowdhury. They are known locally for their reemergence of the punk scene and their importance in Hardcore scene especialy. In 2023 the band began to write an EP consisting of five songs which is ongoing into 2024 and will be finished in time for the August gig influx. The band continue to music for the Hardcore/Grunge scene to enjoy and further continue to fuse and pioneer great genres!!
The band attended the official 2024 Red Kite Battle of the Bands and came 3rd out of 11 surpassing other bands of more popular genres ending up in the Ilkley Gazette newspaper.
Members and inspiration[edit]
Louis Tammaro[edit]
Louis is the lead guitarist and vocalist for Vertigo. His main inspiration for songs come from a mix of Grunge, Hardcore punk and more heavy Metal music. Lyrics are heavily influenced by Politics and own influences.
Tobias Gupit-Wils[edit]
Tobias (Goggles) Guppit-Wils is the drummer for Vertigo and main inspirations come from that of Nicko McBrain, Joey Jordison and Danny Carey.His main genres being Heavy metal,Power metal, Nu metal, and Death metal.
Ewan Brown[edit]
Ewan is the bassist and main inspirations come from Munky, Tom Araya and Alex Webster. His main genres come from Black metal, Thrash metal, Death metal, Nu metal and Heavy metal.
