Charlotte Dilieth Parada Rodríguez (born November 11, 2006) is a Colombian singer, songwriter, voice actress and illustrator. Born and raised in Pamplona, Colombia, [1] she has released a Extended Play with the title Toxic City EP in late 2021 and a single called Finihario (a.k.a Dead On Arrival) in 2023.[2]
Early Life[edit]
Uzur grew up in the town of Pamplona, Norte de Santander, Colombia. In her early years, Uzur developed a passion for music. Influenced by her father's collection of music which played a significant role in shaping her musical inclinations, leading to her growing fondness for music. Because of financial difficulties, Uzur only learned to sing while participating in school choruses and private practice, this grew her ambition to become a singer.[3]
Carreer[edit]
Uzur has worked independently as a voice actress for small projects, such as commercials for Anime Conventions, as well as taking commissions for voice acting work. On December 31st, 2021 she released her debut Extended Play called Toxic City EP [4] [5]. This was an undertaking she began in March and completed within the same year of its release. This EP served as a way for Uzur to overcome her traumas, as it is based in her personal experiences. After a two-year hiatus, on October 13th, 2023, she released the single Finihario (a.k.a Dead On Arrival) through streaming platforms in Co-Production with the American record producer Jon-John Robinson. [6] Jon-John Robinson. [5] [6] This represents Uzur's first single from her upcoming debut studio album, which is currently untitled, signaling the start of a new chapter in her music career.
The title 'Finihario' is inspired by a series of strange short films that have the same name, known for giving feelings of unease and disgust in whoever watches it. Uzur's instrest with these films influenced her choice to name the song. 'Dead On Arrival' was initially tought as an alternative name for the song, but was scrapped. Eventually being integrated as the alias for the song. The meaning behind this name title has not been disclosed.
