The Verkkars is a Finnish electronic/pop music band. The band's songs are mainly related to the video game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and its competitive gameplay. The band's singles EZ4ENCE and Flashbang Dance have been selected as official music kits for CS:GO.[1][2]
History[edit]
The story of The Verkkars began in 2019 when the band released the song "EZ4ENCE". It's lyrics mainly consist of various CS:GO-themed memes about the Finnish CS:GO team ENCE. The song's popularity exploded when the main theme of the song, the Finnish CS:GO team ENCE, became the first Finnish team to advance to the final of a major tournament at IEM Katowice 2019. When ENCE took to the stage for the final of IEM Katowice 2019, "EZ4ENCE" was played in the arena. During the tournament, the song also reached number 50 on Spotify's Finnish TOP4 chart. The song also charted in several countries.
In March 2019 Valve announced they would be adding EZ4ENCE as a music kit. Flashbang dance was added November 2021.
