The Lost Symbols is a rock band from Jaipur, India, formed in 2012 by Singer and songwriter Aman Raj. The band was previously signed to T-series, Biscoot Records LLP.
History[edit]
The Lost Symbols was formed in 2012, when Aman was in Lovely Professional University, Punjab. After he dropped out of the college and moved to Bhilwara, Rajasthan to live with parents where he met the drummer Arun Singh Naruka and the journey of music continued. In 2015 the band dismantled due to the unfortunate leaving of the band's lead guitar player. Aman moved to Mumbai for his Music Production and Audio Engineering at BeatFactory Academy in 2017. Encouraged by the sound of rock and metal music he came back to Jaipur, Rajasthan in 2019 after the completion of the course and the projects along with drummer Arun he formed The Lost Symbols band again.
By the end of 2019, Aman had written 8 new songs, which Gunjan Soral had arranged and produced at his home studio. They continued publishing the songs online on their website on a regular basis. They soon started gathering an audience online through Spotify. "Khwaab"[1] became popular and went to Radar India playlist on Spotify. The band released their first album The Diary[2] on 29 May 2021. The band continued to make more of their music and released the second album GHARQ[3] on 20 April 2022. One of the songs from the album got featured in the 17 April 2022 edition of HighOnScore magazine.[4] By the end of 2022, they started performing live as well.[5] The live lineup included Arun Singh on drums, Rahul Sharma on bass, Gunjan Soral on lead guitars, Jubin Choudhary on rhythm guitars and in addition to Aman on vocals. They have performed at some significant venues in India such as IIT Roorkee, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Patna, IIT Mumbai, IIT Guwahati, and have also performed on Delhi's popular radio stations RadioCity Freedom,[6] Radio One 94.3 FM and Radio City 91.1 FM
At the start of 2023 they started working on album third FAROGH[7] and released the album on 20 September 2023. The band collaborated with Ravindra Upadhyay on their fifth track from the album Din Barkha.[8] A review of band's album FAROGH was published in the 1 December 2023 issue of HighOnScore magazine.[9]
