The Dark Kingdom Trilogy is the series of movies includes the three films The Last Shadow, The Longest Night, and The Darkest Day. It is an independent film series made by What About One Films.

Plot[edit]

• The Last Shadow is about a king who rules with an iron hand because of past traumatic incidents, and he is holding his daughter locked up in the castle. Two children who live on a farm who want to escape the farmer who is making them work. They escape and make plans to get to Stormvale Keep, the Castle of the Kingdom.

• The Longest Night is about the two children coming to the castle to try and take down the king, and eventually they start a war.

• The Darkest Day is about the final battle for the Kingdom, and the kids finally storm Stormvale Keep.

Cast and characters[edit]

Matthew Mayer - Fletch Nightengale, Princess Barley, and Guard 2

• Fletch Nightengale is one of the children and he is an inspiring wizard who often gets spells wrong, but eventually learns how to do it and becomes the main wizard for the revolution.

• Princess Barley is the daughter of Queen Goldberry and an unknown man, and Kind Randall is always angry with Princess Barley and often locks her in the dungeon, and sometimes it has even lead to abuse. Princess Barley is a quiet and introverted person with bright colored hair and the same cape as her father.

• Guard 2 is a guard for the king who is very loyal and aggressive.

Aria Mayer - Mina Nightingale and Queen Goldberry

• Mina Nightingale is the sister of Fletch and she is the main fighter for the revolution. She also plays the recorder that used to be her father's, but Fletch often boasts how he got magic and she got a recorder.

• Queen Goldberry was the wife of King Randell and she was the queen of Empire, she and King Randell were married for a short period of time, before she told Randell that she had cheated on him with a man who had died, and she had a child with him, Princess Barley. Her story ends when she is killed by Randell when she's putting the baby to sleep.

Jack Mayer - King Randall, Farmer Pete, and Guard 1

• King Randall is the king of the empire and the father of Princess Barley, he killed Queen Goldberry after she had told him that she had cheated on him, but he had immediately regretted it because he loved her, and trauma changes him. He rules the Kingdom with an iron hand, and he locks Barley in the dungeon of the castle/Stormvale Keep. He also abuses her.

• Farmer Pete is the adoptive father of Fletch and Mina, and he works them to the bone, and when they are not working, he threatens them by locking them up in a chicken coup with an unknown creature he calls "Betsy".

• Guard 1 is like Guard 2 in that he is very aggressive, but he doesn't like working for King Randall.
