The Angry Birds Movie 3 is an upcoming animated comedy film based on Rovio Entertainment's Angry Birds video game franchise, produced by Rovio Entertainment, Sega Sammy Group, and Prime Focus Studios in association with One Cool Films, Flywheel Media, and Dentsu. Directed by John Rice (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Thurop Van Orman, the film serves as the sequel to The Angry Birds Movie (2016) and The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019). Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad reprise their roles as Red and Chuck, respectively, The film will release in 2025

Development[edit]
On April 30, 2020, Geeks WorldWide exclusively reported that a third Angry Birds film was in development at Sony Pictures, with production planned for 2021.[2]
On June 6, 2024, Rovio Entertainment officially announced that a third film was in production, with new parent company Sega Sammy Group producing alongside Prime Focus in association with One Cool Films, Flywheel Media, and Dentsu, albeit without the involvement of Sony.[3] John Rice has been attached to direct, with Thurop Van Orman writing the screenplay and John Cohen, Dan Chuba, and Carla Connor producing, while Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad would reprise their roles as Red and Chuck, respectively, on June 7, 2024, It was revealed that the film would release in 2025.[1]
