Unknown (born Unknown), better known by the stage name Shockaddict, is a British producer, remixer, and DJ from Dudley, West Midlands.[3]
According to Genius.com, Shockaddict is mostly known for his work on Tinie Tempah's third studio album "Youth".[4] More specifically the song "They Don't Know" (featuring Kid Ink, Stefflon Don and AoD), where he received credit for his production.[5][6]
His break out song Bonnie & Clyde, featuring Myah Sky, broke a quarter of a million streams on Spotify, and has remained his most popular song to date.[7]
Life and career[edit]
Early Years[edit]
Not much is known about Shockaddict's background as he has always remained anonymous. He has never publicly shown his face and has always hid behind a mask for public appearances.
Shockaddict started out his professional career producing music for popular Youtuber's Olli43[8] and Typical Gamer.[9] Shockaddict is credited in many of Typical Gamers video's for his work on his outro music. [10] [11] But in October 2014, he released full song with Olli43 called "Retro Robots"[12]
In 2015 Shockaddict had his first taste of success, for his remix of Kaleida's song "Think", after it was featured in the first John Wick film, starring Keanu Reeves. His remix then blew up on Youtube, after being supported by the electronic music channel "HouseSoundsTV". [13] A channel that continued to support Shockaddict, in the early stages of his career.
The Remix currently has more than a million plays on his Soundcloud page.[14]
On 14 April 2017, Shockaddict was credited on Tinie Tempah's Youth album. Notably on the song "They Don't Know" (featuring Kid Ink, Stefflon Don and AoD).[15]
On August 24th 2018, Shockaddict released his first official single titled "Boomerang" featuring the singer Myah Sky.[16]
Later that year on December 14th, Shockaddict released his break out hit "Bonnie & Clyde" also featuring Myah Sky.[17]
Almost two years later on March 12th 2020, he teamed up the West London born Scrufizzer[18] on a song called "Work It", which was released independently.[19]
Mr Producer[edit]
Shockaddict went viral in January of 2024, when he posted a video on Youtube [20] of the controversial influencer Andrew Tate[21] and his brother Tristan, dancing to his version of the "Mr Producer" theme song. The video gained over 100 thousand views in the first week alone. Shockaddict also released an official music video [22] containing the brothers partying on a private yacht.
