Gavin Bennett, 24, aka SPOOKY GLOOM is an American Singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. With his birthplace in Kalamazoo, Michigan. SPOOKY later moved to State College, Pennsylvania at the age of 22 to further his music career. Starting music at a very young age due to SPOOKY's father being the lead singer and rhythm guitar player for a grunge band named "Decadence." As a child he went with his father to many band practices and some events, where SPOOKY's father let him play the band's instruments at least once every time he went. Growing up with a lot of rock influence and the love of not just music but the creation of music. SPOOKY started forming bands with friends at his schools but never got anywhere. Feeling misplaced SPOOKY sold his guitars to buy FL Studio for his mom's laptop. Becoming obsessed with the program and pathed his own creative route creating electronic dance music from the age of 14-19 years old under the alias "CO$TLY." .
After a fall out of drugs and breaking the law and getting kicked on the streets, in and out of family members and friends houses from feeling so out of place. He used what he learned from electronic music production and threw away his "CO$TLY" alias and produced and released his first single as SPOOKY GLOOM "BORNDEADANTHEM." in 2020. To just a year later releasing "Deviance" his first album recorded and produced in a Kia Optima at his brother's apartment. Finding his sound and purpose in his music. Executing numerous genres and many flows. All over the board with upbeat to slow music. Even heavy hitters to mellow beauty. Displaying through sound that everyone goes through spooky things and everybody has a spooky part of themselves, but it doesn't mean you have to be in gloom.
