Quiet Room was an early 1980s new wave band from Palo Alto founded by Philip Peters. They used synth,drum machines as well as guitar and vocals. They were the opening band for the first Duran Duran show in the US. The released a double A side single on 7" vinyl in 1981. "She Sits Alone" and "Pictures In The Attic" on Win Records. In 2011 they were included in the compilation album "Bay Area Retrograde (BART) Volume 1" on Dark Entries record label.
