Early life[edit]

Bates was born in Exeter, Devon and attended West Exe School.[2]

Career[edit]

Bates finished second on the 2023 PDC Challenge Tour, earning him qualification for the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship as well as a tour card for the next two years.[3] Following his qualification for the competition, he was told that he had to change his nickname. Having previously been known as the Master he was informed that its' sexually charged nature meant that it was not suitable for the big stage.[4]
