Abioye Hammed Adeyemi (born 10 September 1995) popularly known as ONLY1PROMZY is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is known for his stage performances and insightful and inspiring music. He plays Afrobeat, and Afrofusion with a feel of RnB and Dancehall and he is also versatile across other genres of music. He currently resides in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria and he’s fast becoming a household name in the Afrobeat music industry.
Early life[edit]
Born in Ibadan, after completing his primary school education at Nickdel private school he proceeded to have higher education at Command Day secondary school at Odogbo Barracks Ibadan where he got the nickname “Promzy” in his junior high. He attended Bowen University for his first year of tertiary education, but after short while he left before finally completing his first degree at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where he graduated with a BTech in transport management
Career[edit]
Only1promzy has become one of the most listened-to artists on the airwaves in Ibadan, and one can easily feel the vibes in his songs, which are spot-on sing-along songs that most people like.
In 2019, Only1promzy released his first single Opelope Oyinbo featuring Haywise official and trips boy, he also released Asiko, This Money, and Hennessy as well as a freestyle titled Calling Online which are all a sensation on his campus for the year
In 2022, Only1promzy released Your Love which was the beginning of great success for him within the industry and also paved the way for his exposure in the music world
In 2023, he released a couple of sensation music which have been popular within the industry and his immediate environs and still riding on the successes of singles like, "Isale", "Loke Loke", "Awilo Dance", and “Balling” which is enjoying massive rotations on Spotify, Audiomack, YouTube, Boomplay and Apple.
In 2023, Only1promzy has been the toast of nightcrawlers who wouldn't stop dancing to all his songs. He his usually a delight to watch and no wonder he was billed to perform at rave events like Cruzer Reloaded Concert, Brown Roof Party, Ibadan Music Festival, Party with Pivotal, UnderG Block Party (LAUTECH) and Wale Waves and Friends. With the competitive music industry we have right now, Only1promzy is blazing the trail and making sense of the city of Ibadan in the mainstream.
In 2024, he was billed to perform at a major event; Laff mattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka and friends.
In 2024, He won the award for the artiste of this year in his department at the prestigious Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.
