Nobuya Shimamoto is a Japanese actor and stunt performer known for Shogun, Blood and Treasure 2 (CBS, 2022), Midway, John Wick Chapter 2 and Gangster Exchange.[1]. He was nominated in several awards such as Gemini Awards[2], Action on Film Festival (LA) and ACTRA awards[3].
Early Days[edit]
Nobuya was born and raised in Japan. Since his parents were very supportive of participating in sports activities, he joined karate, baseball and swimming team when he was young. That backbone made him become an avid athlete. To this day, he is a martial arts practitioner and a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu[4]
