Motspur Park Community Football Club is an English competitive, grassroots football club based in Merton, South West London. The First Team compete in the Surrey South Eastern Combination league in the 12th level of the English football league system. The club play their home matches at two venues, Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields..[1] and Morden Sports Ground.
The club is 3-star accredited by England Football[2][3], offering football "regardless of gender, race or religion"[2]. Beyond the First Team, the club has 45 teams and over 1000 active members and volunteers[2].

Foundation[edit]
The club was founded in 2014 by local chairman, Gary Hammocks[4], with two youth teams.
Expansion to Adult Football[edit]
Motspur Park Community Football Club expanded its operations in the 2015/16 season by launching its adult setup. The inaugural senior team, managed by Rob Dean, competed in the Kingston & District Football League[5].
Additional Adult Teams[edit]
The following season, 2016/17, the club's adult section migrating to the Surrey South Eastern Combination League[6]. To cater to a wider range of player abilities and experience, two additional teams were established: a Reserve Team and an A team.
Motspur Park launched its first Veterans Team in the 2020/21 season, comprised of parents and coaches from the youth section[2]. This team participate in the Southern Amateur League[7]
Ground[edit]
Motspur Park play their home matches at two separate venues.
Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields, KT3 6NE, is the foundational location for the club[8] with 7 pitches[1]. The grounds are named after British businessman, Sir Joseph Hood[9]. Less than a 5 minute walk from Motspur Park railway station, the ground is accessible from London's Zone 1 in less than 30 minutes [10]. The ground is also less than 5 minutes walk from the Motspur Park training ground of Premier League football club, Fulham[11].
Morden Sports Ground, SM4 4AE, is Motspur Park's new development ground for academy level youth football. In 2023, the Motspur Park grounds team won the Highly Commended award for "Grounds Team of the Year" at the Surrey FA Grassroots Awards[13][14]
