MeTV Toons is an upcoming 24-hour cable television channel operated by Weigel Broadcasting Co. in-partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery . Set to launch on June 25, 2024 as a spin-off of MeTV , the network's programming mainly consists of reruns involving vintage animated programming, including a few that aired up until the 2000s, in a similar format to the first few years of Cartoon Network and Boomerang .
The cartoons featured on the main MeTV network in the morning hours, such as Looney Tunes Merrie Melodies Tom and Jerry Popeye Woody Woodpecker Scooby-Doo Yogi Bear Casper the Friendly Ghost Speed Racer Marine Boy Thunderbirds Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons Joe 90 Jerry Beck , but no new animation will be produced for the network. Bob Bergen , the current voice actor for Porky Pig , is set to be the promotional announcer for the network.
History [ edit ] On May 1, 2024, Variety and TVLine revealed Weigel would partner with Warner Bros. Discovery to launch MeTV Toons, a 24/7 free-to-air television network dedicated to broadcasting classic animated programs, on June 25, 2024. The following day, Weigel officially announced the launch of the channel.[1]
