Production[edit]

In May 2022, Mark Hamill revealed he was recording lines for a continuation to Masters of the Universe: Revelation.[1] The following month at Netflix's Geeked Week event, the next series was revealed to be titled Masters of the Universe: Revolution.[2] In December 2023, during Fatman Beyond, showrunner Kevin Smith revealed that Revolution would premiere in 2024, which it did on January 25, 2024.

Much of the cast reprised their roles from Revelation, with some excepitions. In March 2023, it was announced that Melissa Benoist would replace Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela.[3] In May 2023, a Mother's Day themed announcement revealed actress Meg Foster, who portrayed Evil-Lyn in the live-action film Masters of the Universe (1987), to be voicing Motherboard.[4] In July 2023, Smith announced Keith David would be voicing Hordak.[5] In January 2024, weeks before Revolution's release, John De Lancie was revealed to be joining the series as the voice of Granamyr.[6]
