The Longford Intermediate Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Longford GAA among the Intermediate grade Gaelic football clubs in County Longford, Ireland. The winning club qualifies to represent its county in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship.

History[edit]

The Longford Intermediate Football Championship was first played in 1931 until 1932. It was revived in 1966 and has been played annually since then. The Gerry Hennessy Cup is presented to the winners of the Longford Intermediate Football Championship. The cup was first presented in 1995.[1]

The current champions are Kenagh, winning their third IFC title in October 2023.[2]
