History[edit]

This temple was built by Kote Shetty, hence also known as Kote-Shetty-Basadi, but is often shorten down just Kotibasdi. He was a merchant who owned a ship and used to travel and trade with Arab countries and Eastern countries like China.

Architecture[edit]

This temple is built using granite and bolder rocks. This temple approximately has about 200 square feet (19 m2) of area.

First person perspective view[edit]

First you enter the temple through a gate. there you will find a small yard where you have to keep your footwear, and enter a doorway. Then you will find yourself in a 3 metres (9.8 ft) passageway where on either sides there are elevated platforms, usual used for sitting or on program(found in almost all the temples in Moodabidre). Then you enter the outer part of the temple where you will find some space to walk around. It is strictly prohibited to walk around the temple anti-clockwise(just like in Hindu temples).
