John Q. Vaughan (born December 29th, 1978) is an attorney and sports agent in the Atlanta, Georgia area. His sports agency, Select 1 Sports, LLC., focuses on NFL prospects, and his law firm, Law Offices of John Q. Vaughan, LLC., focuses on victims of personal injury and helping clients with estate planning.
Early Years and Education[edit]
John attended Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, MS, where he practiced basketball, football and threw discus for the track team. He then attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received his B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. John would eventually attend law school at the Atlanta's John Marshall Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate.
Work life and Professional Career[edit]
John began working as a mechanic to pay for college. Quickly he moved through the ranks and became the youngest store manager in the country of a Firestone at the age of 20. After receiving his degree from USM, John was offered a position with the local Caterpillar to become the first participant in their executive flagship program. Upon completion of the program, John became one of the youngest executives in the Caterpillar Dealer Network.
Though John had already achieved high levels of success at a young age, he decided to pursue a legal career and enrolled in law school. Upon successful completion of his Juris Doctorate and passing the state bar examination, he was immediately offered a partnership at an Atlanta Law Firm. After creating and growing the firms personal injury department, he decided to open his own law, and thus the Law Offices of John Q. Vaughan was born. At one point John's firm had multiple offices and served thousands of clients every year. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, his business was drastically reduced. At this point, John decided to diversify his firm and he became a certified NFL Contract Advisor and a Licensed Sports Agent and created Select 1 Sports, LLC.
Now, John still operates a successful law firm and represents athletes with desires of playing in the NFL.
John is also the CEO of a consulting software company.
John also controls a non-profit organization, Least of These Brothers of Mine.
