Jabberjays are recording birds created by the Capitol to overhear what is going on in the districts, but over time, the rebels found a way to turn the jabberjays against the Capitol and stealing all of their information

Discontinuation

The jabberjays were discontinued due to high rebel infiltration of the Capitol's Information. Collins, Suzanne (2008–2010). The Hunger Games Trilogy.

Comeback[edit]

The jabberjays are sometimes present in the arena,for instance, in the 75th Hunger Games, The Third Quarter Quell, they were used to mimic the screams of Primrose Everdeen and Annie, to scare Katniss Everdeen and Finnick Odair. Collins, Suzanne (2008–2010). The Hunger Games Trilogy.

Mockingjays[edit]

When jabberjays were being discontinued and ended, some of the escaped jabberjays escaped into the wild, mating with mockingbirds, they became copycat songbirds, and they can easily replicate notes, or even an entire song. Collins, Suzanne (2008–2010). The Hunger Games Trilogy.

District 13 Rebels[edit]

The rebels in district 13 have begun to use the mockingjay as a symbol for the rebellion, and districts began to hold uprisings while the Capitol tries to bomb the districts to the groundCollins, Suzanne (2008–2010). The Hunger Games Trilogy.
