Draft:HS2 versus a housing project.

HS2 versus a housing project.

Over *£100bn spent on a train (HS2) that’s replacing an existing train, it’s crazy especially as it was a cross party decision. £100bn could build approx. a third of a million houses with infrastructure. With the homeless and crowded living I think the HS2 money would have been better spent on a housing project. Such a housing project would also generate thousands of jobs plus furnishing the houses. Although I have studied politics for many years I cannot understand the logic behind such a decision. It’s a case of, it’s so easy to spend other people’s money (taxpayers money). Stop Hunger And Reduce Poverty (SHARP) is something we should all own as, “there but for the grace of God go I”. With over **4m UK residents living in poverty and the number of those being made homeless, the Govt definitely has its priorities misplaced. Monty Burn money expert.
