Funzela Ngobeni is a South African politician who is currently the Gauteng Premier candidate^[1] for ActionSA. Ngobeni was previously a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA), where he served as the caucus leader for the party, in the city of Johannesburg. He also held the role of regional chairperson in Johannesburg, for them.

In March 2020, Funzi announced^[2] that he will be resigning from his role at the DA to join the Mashaba lead, People's Dialogue. Funzi served as MMC for Development Planning in the city of Johannesburg, under then Mayor, Herman Mashaba. After 16 months in this position, he was appointed as the MMC of Finance and Information Communication Technology in January 2018.
