History[edit]

The rivalry between Indian and England started back in the 1930s when the first test match was played in London. This was also when the Indian cricket team for the first time acquired its test status and started to face other nations in a more organized format.

In 1933 the first game between India and England was played at Indian soil. There has always been a strong home side dominance when the two nations are playing each other. India are known for being a much more prominent team when playing at home. Ind vs Aus Rivalry
